Photo album sizes compared: 11×11 square vs 7×5 landscape
Updated · by the CuzIt'sMemorable studio, Jaipur
Choose an 11×11 square album for weddings and big occasions: large prints, 20 pages included, up to 4 photos a page. Choose a 7×5 landscape album for trips, birthdays and gifts: small, light, 10 pages included and far cheaper. Both are bound by hand and hold up to 40 photos.
How do the two album sizes compare?
| Heritage 11×11 | Polaroid Landscape | |
|---|---|---|
| Size | 11 × 11 in | 7 × 5 in |
| Shape | Square | Landscape |
| Pages included | 20 | 10 |
| Price | ₹3,999 | ₹999 |
| Extra pages | ₹180 each | ₹90 each |
| Photos per page | Up to 4 | Up to 2 |
| Best for | Weddings, anniversaries, heirlooms | Trips, birthdays, gifts |
Which album size should I choose?
- Pick the Heritage 11×11 if the album will live on a shelf for decades, if faces matter at a distance, or if you have many full-page photos.
- Pick the Polaroid Landscape if it's a gift, a single trip or weekend, or you want something that fits in a bag.
- Square suits both portrait and landscape photos; landscape flatters wide group shots and scenery.
What resolution do photos need?
Print sharpness depends on the short side of the photo. For a full page in the Heritage 11×11, aim for about 3,300 pixels (300 dpi on 11 inches); 1,650 is fine at half a page. The Polaroid Landscape needs about 1,500 pixels for a full page. Photos forwarded on WhatsApp are compressed, so ask for originals.
How many photos do I need for an album?
Between 20 and 40 is the sweet spot. One strong photo on some pages and collages on others reads better than every page packed full. The studio lays out up to 40 photos automatically, then you adjust.
